This scarf is made in 3 pieces and sewn
together.
Pattern for half of the scarf (make 2):
Needles no 4, cast on 40 stitches.
1. (k, p) 20 times
2. (p, k) 20 times
4-6. Repeat raws 1-2
Change the needles to no 5.
1. 3k, 2p, 2k, 2p, 6k, 2p, 2k, 2p, 2k,
2p, 6k, 2lp 2k, 2p, 3k
2. 3p, 2k, 2p, 2k, 6p, 2k, 2p, 2k, 2p,
2k, 6p, 2k, 2p, 2k, 3p
3-6. Repeat raws 1-2.
7. 3k, 2p, 2k, 2p, slip 3 stitches to
cable needle, 3 k, knit 3 stitches on cable needle, 2p, 2k, 2p, 2k,
2p, slip 3 stitches on cable needle, 3 k, knit 3 stitches on cable
needle, 2p, 2k, 2p, 3k
8. Repeat raw 2
9 – 14. Repeat raws 1-2
Repeat raws 7-14 until you have desired
lenght.
The hood:
Cast on 82 stitches on needles no 4.
1. (k, p) 20 times
2. (p, k) 20 times
4-6. Repeat raws 1-2
Change the needles to no 5. Work 22
raws of stocking stitch. Slip 41 stitches counting from the left on a stitch holder. Work remaining 41 stitches:
1. Knit until there are 2 stitches
left, k2tog
2. Purl all.
3 – 8. Repeat 1-2.
9. Knit all.
10. Purl all.
11 – 25. Repeat 1-2 (raw 1 will be
the last one).
26. Close the stitches.
Now move back to the left side. It's a
mirror of the right one:
1. K2tog, knit till the end.
2. Purl all.
3 – 8. Repeat 1-2.
3 – 8. Repeat 1-2.
9. Knit all.
10. Purl all.
11 – 25. Repeat 1-2 (raw 1 will be
the last one).
26. Close.
Fold the hood in half and sew. Sew
together both parts of the scarf. Attach hood to the scarf.
